How to Donate

1. Drop-Off Time and Location

You can drop off your donation items anytime during store hours. See our store hours and location here.

2. What We Accept

We accept gently used clothing (except undergarments) and books/textbooks. Bring us your in-season, like new, laundered, or dry-cleaned items.

Get Thrifty reserves the right to refuse donations on a case-by-case basis. To see a detailed account of what we accept, see our acceptance policy.

3. Store Credit

Receive $1 store credit for every donated item with a maximum of $10. Store credit may only be used for the thrift section of the store (credit cannot be applied towards consignment products).

A maximum of $25 store credit is permitted per customer account at any given time.

4. What Happens To Unaccepted Items

Unaccepted items will either be returned to you or donated to one of the following charities on your behalf.

- Diabetes Canada
- Big Brother Big Sister
- DTES

Whether sold on our thrift racks, worn in our annual fashion show, or upcycled into new garments, your donations contribute to clothing circularity at UBC.
