1. What we Accept

Bring us your in-season, like new, laundered or dry-cleaned items. To see a detailed account of what we accept, see our Acceptance Policy.

Please note that we do not accept sleep-wear, intimates, or bathing suits.

Please do not bring hangers with your clothes - we will not accept them.

2. Book an Appointment

Consignment sessions are by appointment only.
Any unscheduled drop-offs will be considered donations that are eligible for store credit.

You can book an appointment here

3. Drop-off & Sorting

Be sure to schedule an appointment with us first.

If you are a new consignor, you are required to fill out and e-sign an online contract. Please note that without an appointment, we cannot accept your consignment items and will give you the option to donate on-site.

During your appointment, a Curator will go through your items and select merchandise that we feel fit our criteria to add to our curated collection. Any items we do not keep will be immediately returned to you. As mentioned, you will have the option to donate them.

Sale prices will be determined by Get Thrifty executives after internal research is conducted by our Consignment Curator team.

Note: By signing the contract, you authorize Get Thrifty to make pricing decisions on your behalf. If you have suggestions for a price point, feel free to let us know during the appointment. We cannot guarantee that your merchandise will be sold at your suggested price point.

4. Stocking, Pricing, & Sales

As part of the consignor registration process, you will be signed up for a vendor profile on our consignment software. You can log into this profile anytime to view your inventory, see what has and hasn't been sold, and how much money you have made.

Items that have been accepted can take 2 – 4 weeks to go out onto the sales floor after the initial sorting process. This timeline accounts for...

- Research on pricing

- Product photoshoot

- Photo editing

- Uploading to the online store

- Registering to your vendor profile inventory

- Displaying your merchandise on the sales floor

You will receive an automatic email when your inventory is live.

If you would like to dispute a price point set on an item, please email us your request no later than a week after you receive your inventory. All price points are final one week after you receive your inventory.

Price points are determined by item type, brand, material, retail price, and condition. Clothes will be discounted over time according to our Consignment Sales Rubric to maximize sale potential.

Get Thrifty reserves the right to discount and lower prices at our discretion. You will be notified if we deviate from the rubric.

5. Seasonal Acceptance Schedule

We typically try to accept season-appropriate items, though exceptions can be made.

If you think your item is worth selling regardless, feel free to bring it in! Try to avoid bringing blatantly out-of-season items (ie. a tank top during the winter).

Get Thrifty reserves the right to reject out-of-season items at our discretion.

6. Reasons Your Item May Not Be Accepted

There are various reasons why we may not accept your items but some common reasons include:

- Stains
- Holes
- Excessive pilling
- Out-of-season

Please note we do not accept sleep-wear, intimates, or bathing suits.

We also are not a charity, so if you think an item is not re-sellable, please don’t try to consign it. To see what is and isn’t accepted, please see our Acceptance Policy.

7. Selling & Payment Process

Get Thrifty sets the prices for your garments and you receive 40% of the revenue after tax deductions.

Consignor payouts occur at the end of every academic term.

Winter Term: Sept - Dec

Spring Term: Jan - April

Summer Term: May - Aug

All payouts will be processed via e-transfer. Please see your contract for more details.

8. Contract: Please Read

Please see here for the consignment contract that will be sent to you for your e-signature once you register to consign with Get Thrifty.

Please read it in its entirety prior to your appointment and prepare any questions you have as there will not be enough time for the Curator to go through the entire contract with you. Thank you!
